University Social Responsibility – Adopted Villages

1. Kotri Village

The University adopted Kotri Village of Bikaner District in 2015 for the overall development of the village. After various visits and meetings with the village communities most required activities were initiated in the village this includes –

Renovation and repairing of the community water storage tank.

Renovation and repairing of the toilets at the school especially of the girls. Computer, internet and communication facilities at the village school,Development of the sports ground and sports facilities in the school.

Sponsorship of the vocational training for the educated youth of the villages like basic computer training, veterinary nursing or Gopal training, agricultural and horticulture training etc.

literacy classes for peoples of village and computer classes for school students.
adult education and medical and health care programme.
generation of employment for the localities

Awareness of the health and clean environment campaigns were organized in the village

2. Nal Bari Village

The University adopted Nal Badi Village in 2018 wherein the students of the University carried out a massive survey on the history and culture of the village, educational status of people belonging to various caste/communities, literacy rate, unemployment, the status of women, etc.
The students, teachers, and other university stakeholders took the initiative and sensitized the community leaders for taking up steps to ensure the all-around development of these villages.

The University has adopted the Nal Badi village and has launched a drive to transform it into a developed entity.
The University organized blood donation camps, Health awareness camp, Literacy Programmes in the village in which quite a large number of villagers participated. It organized awareness programmes also.
The Extension cell organized awareness programmes on road safety by distributing pamphlets of wearing helmet, seat belts, drink and drive, minor driving, following safety rules, etc. It also launched a drive to create awareness on the problem of Anemia amongst girls. A lot of women participated in the programme.
